Wanda Felton is a Senior Advisor with Connect Frontier LLC. She has over three decades of experience as a senior executive and advisor to companies working in global markets.
Felton is the former Vice Chair and First Vice President of the U.S. Export-Import Bank. She was nominated to the position by President Obama and unanimously confirmed by the U.S Senate to serve two terms. During her tenure, Felton served on the team of economic deputies that advised the President’s Export Council, the White House Business Council, and the National Security Staff on global trade and investment matters. As a member of the Bank’s credit committee, she approved complex cross-border financings and had oversight responsibility for over $100 billion of global credit exposure.
Felton previously spent 25-years on Wall Street, including 15 years focused on private equity, providing portfolio management advice to institutional investors, and raising capital. Throughout her career, Felton has been committed to increasing capital access as an engine for growth, development, and economic inclusion. During this time, she directed a significant amount of capital to small and mid-sized companies and helped expand access to capital to companies owned by women and minorities. Wanda was also at the forefront of bringing U.S. institutional capital to post-apartheid South Africa. Other career milestones include the launch of two global emerging markets funds that steered more than $3.5 billion to emerging markets.
Felton serves on the board of The Greenbrier Companies, a NYSE-traded company and the largest U.S. manufacturer of railcars. In addition, Felton is a Senior Advisor to Spencer Stuart’s North American board practice and a trustee of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Felton received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
